You can delete your Squishmish account and the data attached to it at any time. There are two ways to do it: from inside the app, or by emailing us.
In the App (Fastest)
- Open Squishmish and go to the Profile tab
- Open settings
- Tap delete account and confirm
Deletion runs immediately. Your account is signed out and cannot be recovered afterwards.
Without the App
If you no longer have the app installed, email privacy@squishmish.ai from the email address on your account, with the subject "Delete my account". We process deletion requests within 30 days of receiving them. We may reply first to verify that you own the account, so that nobody can delete an account that is not theirs.
What Gets Deleted
- Your account and sign-in credentials
- Your profile: name, email, phone number, and profile photo
- Events you created, including their entire group chats
- Your RSVPs and invitations
- Crews you own
- Saved activities, swipe history, and preferences
- Push notification tokens
- Photos you uploaded
- If you signed in with Apple, we also request revocation of your Sign in with Apple authorization
What Stays
- Messages you sent in other people's events that still exist stay visible to those chats with your identity removed, shown as "Former member". The chats of events you created are deleted along with those events
- Records we are legally required to keep
